Project Engineer - Elmsford NY, USA
Pyrotek, a privately owned company specializing in the development, manufacture and sale of high-temperature materials and capital equipment for industrial applications in the aluminum industry, is currently looking for a motivated Project Engineer to join our engineering and manufacturing group.
The ideal candidate should be able to execute engineering assignments with a high standard of engineering expertise and dedication. Specifically, the successful candidate will oversee and participate in projects from initiation through assembly in the customer plant. This could include equipment planning, CADD design, oversee manufacture, assist in the preparation of customer manuals, troubleshoot field problems and as required, supervise installation of the equipment at the customer’s plant.
In addition, the candidate will participate in development tests in-house and in the field, check detail and assembly drawings, schematics, maintain effective and frequent communication within the organization. Knowledge of electrical drawings, piping schematics would be beneficial.
REQUIREMENTS:
- An engineering degree with 3–5 years experience in heavy capital equipment design and manufacturing.
- Knowledge of CAD software.
- Must have good communication and written and computer skills.
- Up to 50% travel, both domestic and international may be required.
